… soul stored souvenirs that unexpectedly brighten the day

if I were a flower

Hello

Welcome to misouvi – the site which shares the bliss of random, everyday triggers of happy memories.

As someone who has loved to travel but found it difficult to be so far away from family and friends, my memories and the simple triggers which bring these home to me are something very precious.  I’ll often be reminded of a silly childhood tradition, a song everyone knew or a place I loved visiting.  These memories gives me something in common with so many people I meet.

When I was asked to create an initial web presence for myself as an assignment piece for my studies of Web Communications, I knew that creating a theme around the sorts of everyday experiences like smells, sounds and sayings which take us back to happy times would be a fulfilling and expansive project.

So in celebration of all of the happy memories I would like to share some little triggers, funny stories and faded pictures.  I hope one of these might trigger a happy memory for visitors to this site.

All photos and comments featured come from the private collection of the author.  I hope you will enjoy your visit.
